Het Hartland heette voorheen de Westelijk Jordaanoever. De Jordaniërs hadden het in 1948/49 bezet. Daarvoor was het Brits Mandaat gebied Palestina voorheen Filistina. Jordanië is de Oostbank. Avi Lipkin vertelt over de onwaarheden van de zogenaamde Westbank.
