De Israëlische inlichtingendienst heeft zelfs een opname van een Hamas-terrorist die een andere terrorist vertelt dat de Palestijnse Islamitische Jihad de raket had afgeschoten vanaf een begraafplaats achter het ziekenhuis ‘en dat die op hen viel’.

De IDF heeft bewijs dat de raket die dinsdag een Gazaans ziekenhuis trof, een verkeerd schot was van een lanceerinrichting van de Palestijnse Islamitische Jihad (PIJ), en dat Hamas loog toen het zei dat het een Israëlische raket was en dat honderden waren gedood, zei hoofdwoordvoerder Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari woensdag in een persconferentie.

Er waren meerdere bewijzen die de beweringen van Hamas weerlegden.
“Om 18:15 uur werd een spervuur van raketten afgevuurd door Hamas naar Israël,” zei Hagari. “Daarna, om 18:59 uur, werd een spervuur van ongeveer tien raketten afgevuurd door de Islamitische Jihad” die zich dicht bij het Al-Ahli Arabi Ziekenhuis bevond. Dit was op hetzelfde moment dat er een explosie werd gemeld bij het medisch centrum, merkte hij op.
Israël kwam kort na het incident al met een verklaring waarin stond dat er geen IDF-vuur was geweest op het moment dat het ziekenhuis werd getroffen. Hagari bevestigde dit en merkte ook op dat de radar van de IDF de Gazaanse raketlanceringen op het moment van de explosie volgde. “Trajectanalyse” bevestigde dat de raketten werden gelanceerd vanaf een plek dicht bij het ziekenhuis, zei hij.
“Twee onafhankelijke video’s” toonden ook “het falen van de raketlancering en de voortzetting van de raketvlucht naar de grond … die op het terrein van het ziekenhuis viel.”
De klap op de vuurpijl was echter de bevestiging van Hamas zelf. Hij deelde met de journalisten een vertaling van een opname gemaakt door de Israëlische inlichtingendienst van terroristen die met elkaar praten over raketten die verkeerd zijn afgevuurd, en specifiek verwijzen naar het ziekenhuis. De granaatscherven, zegt de ene tegen de andere, “zijn niet zoals Israëlische granaatscherven,” en de tweede terrorist zegt: “Hadden ze geen andere plek kunnen vinden, niet het ziekenhuis, om te ontploffen?”.
“Ze schoten het af vanaf een begraafplaats achter het ziekenhuis…en het ging verkeerd af en kwam op de parkeer terrein” legde de eerste uit.
Hagari zei dat de terreurorganisatie ervoor koos om het verhaal te verdraaien en te gebruiken voor propagandadoeleinden.
“Hamas controleerde de rapporten, begreep dat het een raket van de Islamitische Jihad was die misgeschoten was en besloot een wereldwijde mediacampagne te lanceren om te verbergen wat er echt gebeurd was. Ze gingen zelfs zover om het aantal slachtoffers op te blazen.”
Om het vermeende aantal slachtoffers tegen te gaan, beschreef de woordvoerder het proces waarmee de IDF bewees dat er zelfs geen significante schade was aan de site.
“Analyse van onze luchtbeelden bevestigt dat er geen directe treffer was op het ziekenhuis zelf,” de enige schade was aan de parkeerplaats, die “enkele tekenen van verbranding, geen inslag en geen structurele schade aan nabijgelegen gebouwen” vertoonde. Hij liet de pers zowel real-time foto’s als infraroodbeelden zien om zijn woorden te staven.
Israëlische munitie, wees hij erop, zou met echte vernietigende kracht geland zijn.
Hagari hekelde de media die onmiddellijk berichtten over “de leugens verspreid door Hamas” in plaats van te wachten op geloofwaardige informatie. Hieronder bevinden zich gerespecteerde internationale media zoals Reuters, en niet alleen Arabische media.
“Ik wil iets duidelijk maken,” verklaarde hij. “Het is onmogelijk om te weten wat er zo snel is gebeurd als Hamas beweerde dat ze het wisten. Dat had voor velen een eerste waarschuwing moeten zijn. In tegenstelling tot Hamas startte de IDF onmiddellijk een onderzoek dat op de allerhoogste commandoniveaus werd overzien. Dit onderzoek was gebaseerd op inlichtingeninformatie, operationele systemen en luchtfoto’s, die we allemaal hebben gecontroleerd.”
Hagari merkte op dat “ongeveer 450 raketten” van de duizenden die vanuit de Gazastrook op Israël werden afgevuurd, in de enclave zelf waren neergekomen, en “Palestijnse burgers betalen de prijs.”

Israeli intelligence even has a recording of one Hamas terrorist telling another that the Palestinian Islamic Jihad had shot the rocket from a cemetery behind the hospital ‘and it fell on them.’

The IDF has proof that the rocket that hit a Gazan hospital Tuesday was a misfire from a Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) launcher, and that Hamas lied when it said it was an Israeli missile and hundreds had been killed, chief spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said Wednesday in a press conference.

There were multiple pieces of evidence refuting Hamas claims.
“At 6:15 PM, a barrage of rockets was fired by Hamas to Israel,” said Hagari. “Then, at 6:59 PM a barrage of around ten rockets was fired by Islamic Jihad” that was close to the Al-Ahli Arabi Hospital. This was the same time that an explosion was reported at the medical center, he noted.
Israel already came out with a statement shortly after the incident saying that there had been no IDF fire at the time that hit the hospital. Hagari confirmed this, and noted as well that IDF radar tracked the Gazan rocket launches at the time of the explosion. “Trajectory analysis” confirmed that the rockets were launched from a site close to the hospital, he said.
“Two independent videos” also showed “the failure of the rocket launch and the continuation of rocket flight towards the ground … falling in the hospital compound.”
The kicker, however, was confirmation from Hamas itself. He shared with the journalists a translation of a recording made by Israeli intelligence of terrorists talking to each other about rockets misfiring, and making specific reference to the hospital. The shrapnel, one tells the other, “is not like Israeli shrapnel,” and the second operative saying, “It couldn’t have been found another place, not the hospital, to explode?”
“They shot it from a cemetery behind the hospital…and it misfired and fell on them,” the first one explained.
Hagari said that the terror organization chose to twist the story and use it for propaganda purposes.
“Hamas checked the reports, understood that it was an Islamic Jihad rocket that had misfired, and decided to launch a global media campaign to hide what really happened. They went as far as inflating the number of casualties.”
To counter the supposed casualty count, the spokesman described the process by which the IDF proved there was not even significant damage to the site.
“Analysis of our aerial footage confirms that there was no direct hit to the hospital itself,” the only damage being to its parking lot, that had “some signs of burning, no cratering, and no structural damage to nearby buildings.” He showed the press both real-time photos and infra-red imagery to back up his words.
Israeli munitions, he pointed out, would have landed with real destructive force.
Hagari castigated the media outlets who immediately reported “the lies spread by Hamas” instead of waiting for credible information. These include respected international outlets such as Reuters, and not only Arab media.
“I want to make something clear,” he stated. “It is impossible to know what happened as quickly as Hamas claimed they knew. That should have been an initial warning sign for many. Unlike Hamas, the IDF launched an immediate examination which was overseen at the very highest levels of command. This review was based on intelligence information, operational systems and aerial footage, all of which we cross-checked.”
Hagari noted that “approximately 450 rockets” of the thousands launched at Israel from the Gaza Strip had fallen short into the enclave itself, and “Palestinian civilians pay the price.”
