De documentaire Veilig in het Bosch vertelt het verhaal van de Joodse Psychiatrische inrichting Het Apeldoornse Bosch dat door de nazi’s in de Tweede Wereldoorlog niet gespaard bleef. In januari 1943 werden ruim 1200 patiënten en 50 personeelsleden op transport gezet naar Auschwitz. Een deel van het Joodse personeel wist dit transport te ontduiken en op tijd te vluchten. In de documentaire doen diverse betrokkenen, waaronder het oud personeel hun verhaal en kijken terug op de heftige keuzes die ze destijds moesten maken.

The documentary Veilig in het Bosch tells the story of the Jewish Psychiatric institution Het Apeldoornse Bosch, which was not spared by the Nazis in the Second World War. In January 1943, more than 1200 patients and 50 employees were deported to Auschwitz. Some of the Jewish staff managed to evade this transport and flee on time. In the documentary, various people involved, including the old staff, tell their story and look back on the heavy choices they had to make at the time.
