– Op deze dag wordt in iedere samenkomst in Israël en over de gehele wereld de sjofar(ramshoorn) geblazen, daarmee het volk oproepend om terug te keren naar G-d en de juiste houding tegenover de Eeuwige aan te nemen.
– On this day, in every gathering in Israel and around the world, the shofar (ram’s horn) is blown, calling the people to return to G-d and adopt the right attitude toward the Eternal.
