2023-08-03: UNESCO stemt over Jericho als ‘Palestijns werelderfgoed – UNESCO to vote on Jericho as ‘Palestinian World Heritage site
– UNESCO erkende Palestina voor het eerst als staat in 2011 en vermeldt momenteel drielocaties binnen de Palestijnse staat: de Geboortekerk in Bethlehem, de oude stad Al-Khalil in Hebron, inclusief de graven van de patriarchen, en de terrassen van het “culturele landschap” van Battir, ten zuiden van Jeruzalem.
– UNESCO first recognized Palestine as a state in 2011 and currently lists three sites as being within the Palestinian state: the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, the Al-Khalil Old Town of Hebron, including the Tombs of the Patriarchs, and the terraces of the “cultural landscape” of Battir, south of Jerusalem.
