– Israëli’s en Palestijnen moeten begrijpen dat vrede niet de eindbestemming is. Het is een middel en geen doel. Vrede wist niet alle meningsverschillen uit. Verschillen kunnen blijven bestaan, maar vertrouwen schept de wil om samen te werken om die hiaten te overbruggen. Vertrouwen is van fundamenteel belang om de voorwaarden te scheppen voor Israëli’s en Palestijnen om de betere toekomst te hebben die ze verdienen.
– Israelis and Palestinians need to grasp that peace is not the final destination. It is a means and not an end. Peace does not erase all disagreements. Differences may remain, but trust creates the will to work together to overcome those gaps. Trust is fundamental to generating the conditions for Israelis and Palestinians to have the better future they deserve.
